Tu B'Shvat at Seekers 2/10 & 2/11

This past Monday and Tuesday, after Hebrew learning, Seekers celebrated Tu B'Shvat with a beautiful Seder! We learned about the holiday, blessed food from the Land of Israel (grapes, dried dates, figs, and apricots), played "Eco Bingo" and sang Tu B'Shvat songs. We also had a discussion about what it means to inherit the Earth and pass it on to future generations. Finally, students were asked to reflect on ways they interact with the environment and nature. They wrote things they receive from the environment and ways they will give back to the environment on differently colored leaves. We used these leaves to create a Seekers Tu B'Shvat tree, which now hangs in the Seekers alcove in the Romemu Center lobby!
