Week 6 - November 24, 2020

This week at Seekers we continued our synagogue unit by exploring Jewish ritual objects. 

In Te'enim with Rabbi Nadia, we discussed Jewish ritual objects and the concept of Hiddur Mitzvah, beautification of a mitzvah. One student said "We beautify things because ritual objects are special and memorable and holy."

In Anavim with Stephanie, we did our ritual object study through videos and sharing slide study time for their Kahoot next week. One Anavim student commented, "Look! I have candle sticks right here!!!"  Another student asked, "Is kiddush grape juice or wine?" 

In Tamarim with Batya, we learned about the

tallit, kippah, and mezuzah. One Tamarim student commented, "We use a prayer shawl to keep our hearts warm when we pray." Another said, "I need to ask my parents to get a new Mezuzah because there is no scroll in ours and I want our family to be protected by the mezuzah!"
