Week 9 - December 17, 2020

This week in Seekers we began our Theology unit with discussions about God.

In Rimonim with Leilah, we welcomed a new student into our class and practiced the value of welcoming someone new into our virtual space! Then, Rimonim listened to a clip of Eliana Light speaking about names for God and then discussed 10 different names for God. One Rimonim student said "I imagine God like the dad in the Lion King: I picture a head in the clouds." Another Rimonim student said, "I pray when I'm scared."

In Tamarim with Batya, we had an interesting discussion about God. One student, said, "God is everything and in me" Another student "I know what God is. God is everything."

In Te'enim with Rabbi Nadia, students used Padlet to discuss the different ways God shows up for the people of Israel in the Torah. One student said, "God is powerful," commenting on the way we see God in Genesis.
