Week 19 - March 25, 2021

This week in Seekers we continued our learning about Pesach.

In Te'enim with Rabbi Nadia, we discussed the 10 plagues and played a Passover Kahoot. We also brainstormed what symbolic items we would add to the Seder plate. One Te'enim student said they would add Zoom, and another said they would add sugar for a sweet year.

In Tamarim with Batya, we learned more about the passover story! One Tamarim student said, "I learned that I shouldn't change my mind too many times from Pharaoh." Another student said or wrote, "I learned that God made Pharaoh's heart become heard after a few times and wonder why!"

In Rimonim with Leilah, this week we talked about freedom. We discussed what it might have felt like to cross the sea into freedom and students said they would feel "confused" and "relieved." Then, we talked about how we are free or not free in our own lives. One Rimonim student said "A lot of the time I don’t feel that much pressure. I can speak out my thoughts." Another student said "Lots of people are both (free and not free) in my opinion. I can be free (at) school, but not from social pressures" Another Rimonim student said "Ghandi wasn’t free." And yet another student said, "I am free. People in jail are not."
