Week 22 - April 22, 2021

This week in Seekers we finished our Israel unit.

In Te'enim with Rabbi Nadia, the students researched and presented different aspects about Israel that were interesting to them: places, people, art and culture etc. One Te'enim student told us about the time his family walked from Tel Aviv to Yaffa.

In Anavim with Stephanie, we read "Room for Rent "by Leah Goldberg and learned about all the different cultures living together in Israel/Palestine. One Anavim student said, "I think it's about judging people for the inside not the outside." Another student said, "I think it's about not even judging people for the inside. You can still live with someone even if they have different views than you."

In Tamarim with Batya, we took a virtual tour of ancient and modern Israel and learned about Yom Haatzmaut - Israel's Independence day. One Tamarim student said, "I didn't realize how many different types of people live in Israel!" Another student said, "The Shuk (Marketplace) looks so exciting! I want to go to Israel!"
