Week 18 - March 18th, 2021
This week in Seekers we continued our holiday unit and learned about Pesach (Passover).
In Te'enim with Rabbi Nadia, we did a comparison between the Moses story in the Torah and the one depicted in the movie, The Prince of Egypt. Some Te'enim students noted differences in the depictions of the way baby Moses went down the nile in the basket. Some students wondered why Moses' sister chose the Nile river as the way to save his life.
In Anavim with Stephanie, we had wacky Passover story time, followed by a Passover "Kahoot" game. One Anavim student said, "Beytzah (egg on Seder plate) sounds like Baby." In response to the wacky storytelling, another Anavim student said, "I'm loving these weird sound effects!"
In Tamarim with Batya, we watched an awesome video to learn the story of Pesach. One Tamarim student said, "I learned not to lie from the story of Passover - Pharaoh lied to Moses about letting the Jewish people go and he winded up hurting himself and everyone around because then the 10 plagues happened..."
